Privacy

How Avecindar uses information to help you find homes, manage listings and arrange visits.

Data and purposes

We use the name, email and identifier shared by Google or Apple to create your account; we do not receive your provider password. We store favourites, searches, listings, photos and requests to provide those features. We record searches, views and contact clicks to understand usage and improve the service. Technical and action records help protect it and investigate problems.

Public and shared information

Published listings show their details, processed photos and approximate public location. Private addresses, original photos and requests are not in the public catalogue. Listing managers receive the necessary viewing-request information. Anyone with a shared selection link can access it until you revoke it.

External listings

External listing information and photos include their source and original link. An observation does not confirm availability or imply a partnership. Request correction or removal through the listing’s reporting option or the contact below.

Service providers

Netlify hosts the website, Supabase manages accounts and the database, and Cloudflare R2 stores photos. Google and Apple handle sign-in under their own policies. Opening the map makes your browser request maps from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address and the requested area. Providers may process data outside Uruguay. External listing links lead to services with their own policies.

Cookies and location

Session cookies keep you signed in. Browser storage keeps signed-out favourites, in-progress requests and prevents repeated measurements. Search preferences and links may include filters and the map position. The location button requests browser permission; you can decline and search manually. Do not put private addresses in descriptions or photos. Public photo derivatives are processed to remove metadata.

Retention and deletion

Export your data or request deletion from your account. Deletion hides listings and revokes access; file cleanup uses retryable jobs. Some operational history keeps pseudonymous references and backups can retain data until rotation. Deleting your Avecindar account does not delete your Google or Apple account.

Your rights

Request access, correction, updating, inclusion or deletion through the contact below. You may also consult or complain to Uruguay’s personal data protection authority, URCDP. Do not send identity documents in a public report.
