How much does it cost to rent in Montevideo?
With 299 active rental listings observed in Montevideo (272 apartments and 27 houses) between 15 and 19 September 2026, the median advertised rent was UYU 28,250 per month; half of the peso listings sat between UYU 24,800 and UYU 34,000 (25th–75th percentiles), across a full range of UYU 15,000 to UYU 135,000. There are dollar listings too: 31 rentals with a median of USD 3,000 and a range of USD 1,150–16,000.
These are prices published by agencies, not confirmations of availability or the final cost of moving in: common charges, guarantees and move-in costs come on top and are not always published.
What the advertised price includes (and what it doesn't)
Rent and common charges are separate. In 59 of the 299 Montevideo listings the common charges are not published, so the total monthly cost cannot be calculated from the ad alone.
